The Ammersion Virtual Showroom can be accessed, viewed and navigated via your desktop browser. For the immersive Virtual Reality experience, this can be done using any WebXR supported headset or mobile device. Some WebXR headsets and devices include:Â
Oculus Quest and Quest 2: Both of these standalone VR headsets from Oculus support WebXR experiences. They offer 6 degrees of freedom (6DoF) tracking and hand controllers for interaction and navigation.
Oculus Rift and Rift S: These PC-tethered VR headsets from Oculus also support WebXR. They provide high-quality VR experiences with 6DoF tracking and hand controllers for navigation.
HTC Vive and Vive Pro: These PC-tethered VR headsets from HTC support WebXR. They offer room-scale VR experiences with 6DoF tracking and hand controllers for navigation.
Windows Mixed Reality Headsets: Headsets like the HP Reverb, Samsung Odyssey, and others that are part of the Windows Mixed Reality platform support WebXR. They offer varying levels of tracking and controller capabilities for navigation.
Valve Index: The Valve Index is a high-end PC-tethered VR headset that supports WebXR. It offers precise tracking and hand controllers for navigation.
Smartphones: Some smartphones support WebXR through web browsers. This includes certain Android devices using Google Chrome or Firefox Reality browsers and iPhones using Safari.
ARKit and ARCore Compatible Devices: Some smartphones and tablets support WebXR for augmented reality experiences. This includes devices compatible with Apple’s ARKit (iOS devices) and Google’s ARCore (Android devices).
If you open the AR Virtual Showroom using a smart phone that supports VR, look for the VR button at the bottom of the screen. Once tapped, the VR mode will be activated and you can insert your phone into your headset. This mode is supported on both Android and iOS devices for cardboard headsets as well as with Google Daydream headsets.Â
