Flamingo, Currant and Sea Salt

FLAMINGO

Our Flamingo is a versatile pink with quiet warmth and subtleness that doesn’t overpower. A soft mid pink with a yellow undertone.

We see this ‘cocooning’ palette alongside design trends including round, non-threatening furniture, curved joinery, homewares featuring engineered wood, and undulating patterns and soft-focus gradients in textiles.

Representing youth, romance and tenderness, pink makes you feel calm. It’s inherently sweet and charming, but also very safe.

CURRANT

Our Currant is a vibrant medium between ‘Lipstick Red’ and ‘Peppercorn’ tones with hints of darker charcoal thread poking through.

Currant holds strong connotations to love, desire and seduction, while on the other hand evoking feelings of danger. In either interpretation, this tone conjures a sense of energy and instantly grabs attention, thanks to its high visibility.

Statement, shadowed reds make you feel passionate and energized, conveying an expression of a rejection of risk.

This palette is driven by a recent paradigm shift favoring freedom and expression. There is an impetus to break free and indulge in a fatalistic night of decadence, making up for lost times; red wine, rich food, jazz music and speakeasy bars.

Visually this translates into a dark, dreamlike aesthetic, driving a palette of dramatic and theatrical colors.

SEA SALT

Sea Salt is a clean pastel blue with a red and white undertone, reminiscent of a clear sky or calm waters.

This palette comes from our yearning for something unapologetically pretty, romantic and fairy tale-esque; a blend of idyll naturalism with a heavy dose of fantasy. Think romanticized views of the coast or countryside with quaint cottages, summer picnics and clear skies.

Sea Salt represents an escapism from the dark and compact world of highly urban communities. Bucolic prettiness and the simple, outdoor lifestyle that follows feels calming and reassuring.

Blue calls to mind feelings of calmness or serenity. It is often described as peaceful, tranquil, secure, and orderly. Blue is often seen as a sign of stability and reliability.
