Pronto Pilates prides itself on its high-quality, affordable reformer pilates workouts. Believing that great classes should be accessible to everyone, members are offered a full timetable of classes that run from early morning ‘til late in the evening – seven days a week – without the inflated price tag. With the company’s investment in immersive audio, on-screen expert instructors deliver clear and intelligible instructions, guaranteeing a ‘perfect class, every time’.
For their Claremont studio in Perth, Western Australia, Pronto Pilates approached Acoufelt looking for an acoustic solution that would both enhance the soundscape of their studio, whilst also complementing the existing wooden floorboards and sideboards to instil a cosy, natural feel.
Working closely with Pronto Pilates to interpret their design vision, the Acoufelt team suggested WoodBeQuiet™ Slat panels be installed as a floor-to-ceiling feature on two opposing walls within the main workout space. With a range of eleven WoodBeQuiet™ woodgrain prints to choose from, Pronto Pilates opted for the original ‘Log Cabin’ print with defined ‘Black’ v-cut vertical grooves, spaced at 50mm apart. The black v-cut grooves provide a nice contrast to the warm surrounds, whilst also coordinating with the black finishes on the reformer beds and equipment.
Boasting a Noise Reduction Coefficient (‘NRC’) of 0.45, the WoodBeQuiet™ Slats act to significantly enhance the acoustics within the studio, enabling the on-screen instructors to deliver clear and coherent guidance to members during class.
In addition to their acoustic benefits, Acoufelt’s WoodBeQuiet™ Slats are engineered to be lightweight and sustainable, comprising more than 60% recycled PET material and generated using 40% renewable solar energy. They are also highly customizable, available in a range of custom print, color, cut and size options.
Since installing WoodBeQuiet™ Slats at their Claremont studio, Pronto Pilates have replicated this design across two more of their studios; one in Applecross, Western Australia, and the other in North Lakes, Queensland. The inclusion of WoodBeQuiet™ Slats not only adds a new biophilic appeal to the fit-out, but it reinforces the company’s commitment to providing a comfortable and engaging environment for members. By seamlessly blending functionality, sustainability, and design, Acoufelt has helped contribute to a space that embodies the spirit of Pronto Pilates’ inclusive and high-quality workout experience.
