Design and commercial office fit-out experts at Maris were tasked to transform Simon Kucher’s head office in London into distinct areas including social spaces, collaboration hubs, and focus zones, allowing team members to seamlessly transition between spaces based on their tasks.
Working with the team at Acoufelt, Maris opted for a custom acoustic ceiling baffle system that is crafted to align seamlessly with the company’s design principles.
Simon Kucher, a leading global consultancy specialising in strategy, marketing, pricing, and sales, has been driving sustainable growth since its founding in 1985. Renowned for its innovative approach, the firm serves a wide range of industries, including technology, healthcare, financial services, and consumer goods.
At the heart of Simon Kucher’s philosophy are its core values: collaboration, integrity, and innovation. In line with these principles, the company envisioned a London headquarters that embodies these values and supports the firm’s ongoing growth. Located in Farringdon, the 20,000 sq ft space was reimagined by Maris through the creative use of lines, textures, and brand colors.
In the reception area, Maris teamed up with Acoufelt to create a stunning ceiling feature designed to leave a lasting impression on clients. Starting with a hand-drawn sketch, Acoufelt brought the concept to life using 12mm FilaSorb™ felt, meticulously crafted with scored lines to form fluid, undulating curves. Finished in a subtle ‘Grey’ tone, the acoustic baffles beautifully complement the cool concrete floors and warm coarse-textured brick, resulting in a cohesive and sensibly captivating space. Beyond having visual appeal, the acoustic baffles also enhance the overall office interior design as well as acoustics by reducing noise reverberation, ensuring a more welcoming and comfortable environment for clients.
By selecting Acoufelt’s FilaSorb™ material, Maris not only focused on aesthetics but also made a sustainable choice. FilaSorb™ is composed of 60% recycled materials and is fully recyclable at the end of its life cycle. The material is also Declare Red List free and third-party verified, aligning perfectly with Simon Kucher’s high environmental standards.
