Coffs Harbour Christian Community School aimed to create an educational space that was more than functional—it would serve as a lasting source of inspiration, creativity and learning.
The goal was to create an optimized environment and improve classroom acoustics that could minimize sound distractions and noise while maintaining an engaging visual design that reflected the school’s values.
Acoufelt collaborated closely with the school as well as Andersens Coffs Harbour to install QuietPrint™ Acoustic Wall Panels in key learning areas, including classrooms and communal spaces.
Acoufelt’s QuietPrint™ Printed Acoustic Wall Panels were utilized to create a mural that would not only deliver classroom noise reduction but also act as an educational focal point.
Inspired by the Biblical story of creation, the mural spans the classroom wall, illustrating the seven days of creation. Through vibrant visuals, it connects theological teachings with the school’s principles, instilling values such as respect, responsibility, and environmental stewardship.
QuietPrint™ technology offers high-performing sound absorption and significantly improved acoustic quality, allowing students to focus with fewer auditory distractions. With the added benefit of customizable designs, the printed acoustic wall panels enabled the school to incorporate its unique design elements into each space.
The mural has become a central feature of the classroom, promoting both focus and engagement. Educators report that the mural serves as a powerful educational tool, sparking discussions and supporting storytelling activities around creation, ethics, and humanity’s role in the natural world. Students actively engage with the mural, which fosters curiosity and deepens their understanding of the school’s values.
