As part of the fit-out for ForestOne’s new multipurpose showroom and office facility, Acoufelt supplied FilaSorb™ acoustic panels to be installed in meeting rooms to elevate both the form and the acoustic function of the space.

ForestOne are Australia’s largest independent distributor of wood panel, timber and decorative surface materials. Recent years of growth incited the rebranding of the company in 2020, which included the design and fit-out of their new Melbourne headquarters by Icon interiors. Acoufelt was approached to assist with ensuring the soundscape of the space would match the quality interior aesthetic.

The brief for Icon interiors was to transform their previously empty, industrial shell into a well-designed, sustainable and functional office and showroom space. The showroom area of the space would incorporate three main areas; a boardroom, a formal meeting room, and a casual meeting room – purpose-built built for physical and virtual collaboration.

Complementing the timber birch features and original concrete finish, the back boardroom wall was lined with Acoufelt’s FilaSorb™ acoustic panels in colour ‘Piano Black’ to absorb some of the echo and provide a sound-safe environment. FilaSorb™ panels were also installed in the neighbouring share spaces to continue the theme of functional beauty; elevating the design whilst also cutting excess sound pollution. Acoufelt was delighted to partner with ForestOne and Icon interiors to support the fruition of their rebranded office and showroom space.
