Adobe, a leader in creative technology, sought to revamp their London headquarters in the White Collar Factory building with a focus on mixing liveliness, functionality, and sustainability. Tasked with maintaining their reputation for innovation, they collaborated with Gensler, an international architecture and design firm, to craft a space that reflects their forward-thinking ethos.
The project pushed creative boundaries, creating a vibrant and sustainable environment that fosters creativity while maintaining practical design elements suited for a dynamic workplace.
Gensler selected Acoufelt’s Fracture Two-Tone acoustic panels to serve both aesthetic and functional roles. These bespoke arch-patterned panels were installed in quiet focus rooms and behind the AV setup in the auditorium. Vibrant colour pairings like ‘Pearl’ and ‘Peach’ as well as ‘Iris’ and ‘Midnight’ added a playful touch. The dynamic design, enhanced by soft furnishings and warm lighting, created an inviting and comfortable workspace.
Gensler incorporated QuietPrint™ acoustic panels featuring custom artwork by Adobe, showcasing a purple and pink dual-tone gradient. These panels were placed in meeting booths and the auditorium, complementing the Fracture Two-Tone panels with coordinated colours. With a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of up to 0.55, these panels effectively reduced sound travel, creating a quiet and focused workspace.
Sustainability was central to Adobe’s redesign, aligning with their value of ‘sustainability at scale.’ Acoufelt contributed by supplying acoustic felt products made from over 60% recycled PET, produced using 40% solar energy.
Gensler’s innovative design for Adobe’s London Headquarters blends creativity, comfort, and eco-consciousness, creating an inspiring space where functionality and sustainability work together. This thoughtful approach ensures the office fosters innovation and creativity well into the future.
