A financial office firm in Fresno, CA, partnered with Uesugi and Associates to design a versatile workspace tailored to the evolving needs of hybrid working staff. Their goal was to ensure that the office remained practical and comfortable while upholding a sleek, modern aesthetic.
The office design offers a diverse range of carefully crafted spaces, including dedicated boardrooms, open desk areas, private focus booths, and conventional workstations. This variety allows employees to transition seamlessly between formal meetings, team collaboration and individual tasks, providing maximum versatility with mixed-use spaces.
To achieve the optimal acoustic environment, Uesugi and Associates leant on Acoufelt for their functional and sustainable soundscaping products, opting for panels from the Fracture Two-Tone collection. Each installation features carefully paired designs and colorways, including ‘Optics’ in colors Denim and Sea Salt, ‘Barcode’ in colors Metal and Wasabi, and ‘Fineline’ in colors Pearl and Umber. These panels were strategically placed in key meeting rooms, open workspaces, and the canteen area, serving as both a striking design feature all the while enhancing focus, communication, and privacy with a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 0.55.
This project demonstrates how collaboration and innovative design can transform a workspace into a dynamic environment that supports the well-being and productivity of its users. The thoughtful attention to both aesthetics and functionality ensures the office will remain adaptable to the evolving needs of its workforce.
