IA Interior Architects led a comprehensive office redesign in Omaha, NE, aimed at harmonising modern aesthetics with acoustic functionality.
As open-plan layouts present acoustic challenges, the project centered on creating a workspace that supports employee well-being and productivity. With the goal of maintaining a visually appealing environment that is aligned with the client’s brand identity while ensuring acoustic comfort, IA Interior Architects selected Acoufelt’s FilaSorb™ ceiling baffles and QuietPrint™ acoustic wall panels.
The Regular Ceiling Baffles were chosen in a polished Filasorb™ ‘Pearl’ colorway and placed in high-traffic areas such as the break room, reception, and collaborative zones. With a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 1.30, the ceiling baffles significantly improve the acoustic environment, fostering a quieter atmosphere that enhances focus and boosts productivity throughout the workspace.
In the atrium, IA Interior Architects selected bespoke acoustic panels to be placed behind the reception area and around the central staircase and meeting zones. Using QuietPrint™ technology, Acoufelt crafted Printed Acoustic Wall Panels with an eye-catching “Plywood” pattern and a custom-made line design. These panels added a distinctive artistic element while delivering strong acoustic performance with an impressive NRC of 1.30. The outcome was an acoustically harmonious space that enhanced the office’s spacious, open design.
